Children's Dentistry
EARLY EDUCATION
Our dentists will teach your child how to take care of their smile. Developing early habits such as correct brushing, flossing and diet sets a strong foundation for a healthy smile and helps prevent future anxiety issues as a result of dental pain. The Australian Dental Association and Fine Smiles Dental recommend that you bring your child in for their first dental visit once their first baby tooth becomes visible or just before your child's first birthday.
"We create a fun and relaxed atmosphere to help familiarise your child with the dental chair and foster a pleasant and enjoyable dental experience right from the very start. By creating a positive impression of the dentist at an early age, your child will understand the importance of looking after their teeth and feel completely relaxed at the dentist."
REGULAR DENTAL VISITS
The Australian Dental Association recommends children and teens see a dentist every six months for a regular check up including an exam, cleaning, fluoride treatment and occasional x-rays to help prevent dental decay and other problems.
